Fine things are found in small packages! Saarland isn’t a nose ahead because of its size – but because of its charm, unspoilt landscape and a rich cultural heritage. Celts and Romans have made a significant impression on the region.
The Seezeitlodge feels at home here. On Bostalsee Lake, it lies at the edge of the Saar-Hunsrück nature reserve in St. Wendeler Land. This is no tall tale: one of the most beautiful regions in Saarland!
And what can you find in the environs? For one, the beautiful old town of Sankt Wendel. Or a quick trip to the neighbours in France or Luxembourg. Germany’s oldest city is right on our doorstep: Trier is only 60 km away. Even older, but just as impressive: the Celtic Circular Wall in Otzenhausen that was built to protect the region from the Romans. Accessible in less than an hour by car: the Alte Völklinger Hütte is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the most significant completely preserved smelting works from the 19th/20th century.
