Head Chef Daniel Schöfisch and his team invite you on a delicious journey: inspired by forest and lake, rooted in regional flavours, and elevated by refined culinary craftsmanship. Enjoy a favourite dish from our small lunch menu and, in the evening, end your day on a culinary high. No frills – just honest flavours, thoughtful presentation, and a secret ingredient: hand-picked herbs from our own garden.

Welcome to LUMI! - Greeting from our Head Chef Daniel Schöfisch

Our cuisine is deeply rooted - in the region and in the diversity of the people who create it with their hearts and hands.

Around 45 talented people from 12 nations work together here to create culinary experiences that are inspired by home and origin in equal measure.

Our menu tells their stories: It combines regional products with artisanal precision and complements international influences - sometimes subtly, sometimes surprisingly.

We attach great importance to a trusting collaboration with local suppliers, farmers and producers as well as carefully selected organic products.

Original flavours and authentic foods characterise our dishes: old grains or almost forgotten vegetables, herbs from our own garden, traditional techniques such as fermentation, smoking and pickling or light vegetable sauces as a tribute to the Celts.

We are particularly proud of our bakery, confectionery and patisserie.

From bread to desserts, we create fine delicacies from our own production - a craft that you will savour.

And a tip à la Schöfisch? "Cooking is a matter of feeling. It's better to listen to your gut than to stick too closely to the small print."

Dine with peace of mind – from morning to night. At our restaurant at Lake Bostalsee, we offer a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options. Expectant mothers can also enjoy every meal worry-free. Have specific dietary needs? We’re happy to accommodate you. For individually tailored menus, a surcharge of €15.00 per day applies.

Dogs in the restaurant – welcome, with consideration

We love dogs; however, out of respect for all our guests, they are not permitted in our restaurant at Lake Bostalsee.

✔ On request, we can reserve a table in the library for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (subject to availability).
