Our guided tours are based around different themes, and are a unique experience. The Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, with the well-preserved 2400 year old Celtic Otzenhausen ring wall, is hugely impressive. From nature to history via culture: you’ll have first-class tours and hikes around select vineyards in Mosel, Saar and Ruwer.

Hike and Wine Tasting

Description
The Maximin Grünhaus vineyard lies at the foot of a steep, broad south-facing slope on the left of the Ruwer in Mertesdorf, around 2 km from its estuary into the Moselle river. The closed Maximin Grünhaus vineyard with sites in Abtsberg, Herrenberg and Bruderberg is fully owned by the von Schubert family. Riesling grapes are the dominant
variety in Grünhaus, currently making up around 90% of what they grow. The selection of wines is rounded out with Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Herrenberg Vineyard, Loch-Riesling

Description
The Herrenberg vineyard is in the small wine village of Schoden, between Saarburg and Konz, on the right shore of the river Saar.
Since the Herrenberg vineyard was founded by the husband and wife team Claudia and Manfred Lock in 1992, it has been a fully organic vineyard. They exclusively grow Riesling grapes.
As well as the plots of land in the best part of the Herrenberg at Schoden, they hold two other very special sites: the Wiltinger Schlangengraben with own-rooted vines planted in 1893, one of the oldest vineyards in the world, and a plot in Bockstein, Ockfen.

Hike through the Moorlands

Description
In Hunsrück, people call the moors “Brücher”. The Ochsenbruch is in the centre of the Saar-Hunsrück National Park at the “Börfinker Ochsentour” path. Rare plants like cranberries, cotton grass and sundew grow here.
The upper moor offers breathtaking views of a landscape boasting rare animals and plants.
